Jammu, July 5: Deepak Sharma, a Jammu based Human Rights activist today submitted a petition to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) seeking registration of FIR against Tapas Pal Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP from West Benagal, for threatening of murder and rape. The activist stated that this act of Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Tapas Pal, has caused a reign of terror and fear psychosis in the minds and hearts of peace loving citizens of India , especially women of the country in general and of West Bengal state in particular and hence strict action warranted under law should be taken against him.
Showing utter displeasure on the State Government for not taking any action against their sitting MLA for this ghastly act, it is submitted in the petition that the power and influence of MP Tapas Pal can be gauged from the fact that inspite of all evidences against him, no action till date has been taken/initiated by the State Government against MP Tapas Pal for threatening to Kill and rape the women.
