| People raise doubt on Omar's love for Jammu | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 5: Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah's love for Jammu region has raised many eye-brows because for the last five years and seven months he has maintained a silence over Jammu's woes but now he has been trying to projecting himself as well-wisher of Jammu. Chief Minister, while addressing the gathering before Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, had touched the issues related to Jammu region. It was failure on the part of BJP leadership that Omar Abdullah has highlighted the issues which are directly related to Jammu region. Issues which should be highlighted by BJP representatives before the Prime Minister, were raised by Omar Abdullah. Although Omar Abdullah has raised the important questions, people have raised questions about his intension. It is widely believed that Omar Abdullah has raised such issues only to win over people of Jammu region. Omar Abdullah has realised that his party National Conference is not going to get seats from Kashmir valley in the coming Assembly elections so he has been concentrating on Jammu region. Since formation of National Conference led coalition Government Omar Abdullah has done nothing to complete various tourism projects which were started before formation of his Government. The Chief Minister had emphasised on the need of formulating beautification projects in Jammu so as to divert maximum number of Vaishno Devi pilgrims to the winter capital. But there are hundred dollar questions What Omar Abdullah has done to complete the cable car project? What Omar Abdullah has done to complete artificial lake project? What Omar Abdullah has done to project cable car project at Patnitop? Chief Minister Omar Abdullah tried to strike an emotional chord with people of Jammu by declaring that Jammu is heart of the State. Omar said the people have apprehension that the fate of Jammu would be like that of Pathankot, which lost its importance after Jammu was connected with rail link. The Chief Minister, however, had assured people that his Government would not allow Jammu to lose its significance following the launch of the direct train service to Katra. |
