| SRSS seeks black topping of Udhampur -Ghordi Road | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, July 8: A deputation of locals under the banner of Sehyog Road Sangarsh Samiti (SRSS-Udhampur to Ghordi Bus road) under leadership of Rakesh Sharma, President-SRSS today called on Deputy Commissioner (DC), Udhampur and Executive Engineer ,PMGSY, Udhampur and sought upgradation of Udhampur -Ghordi Road. After meeting the Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, the SRSS activists addressed a press conference wherein Rakesh Kumar President SRSS Ghordi informed media persons that they had submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner Udhampur and Executive Engineer ,PMGSY seeking double laning and black topping of Udhampur-Ghordi. He requested to the State and Union Governments to speed up this work as earliest for the welfare of people in far flung areas.
He also lamented that despite repeated request in this regard nothing concrete was seen on ground realities. He further added that SRSS was brain child only to highlight the issues of over 60000 souls of block Ghordi in Udhampur and five circle offices like Ghordi, Langa, Barmeen, Balyter and Kaldi have been constituted to raise demands of people from their respective circles . He in a bid to build pressure on Govt SRSS will take up issues of people to the concerned including Chief Minister of state , Members Parliament (MP), Dy CM and elected MLA for redressal of their issues. |
