| Uttri Panchayat locks PHE office for non availability of water | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, July 8 : In an attempt to show resentment against the Public Health Engineering (PHE) office Kathua for non availability of water in the village for the last over one month, residents of Uttri panchayat locked the office of department. However PHE XEN rejected the shortage of water in the area and demanded a legal action against the unlawful act of the some villagers here today. Under the mentorship of Advocate Zalim Singh, the protesters shouted slogans against the PHE officials. Villagers alleged that PHE Department (Mechanical Division) has totally failed to address the long pending demand for providing the water to the panchayat. |
