Rajouri, July 8: Continuing its endeavour to come forward for the welfare of locals especially in far flung areas, the Army under Op Sadhbhavna today donated essential classroom accessories and school furniture like benches, chairs, blackboards, library books and cupboards to a Govt Middle School Daggal Halal, in Kalakote in Rajouri district.
Defence spokesperson said that in a humble gesture the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, based at Kalakote, under Uniform Force, provided essential classroom and school furniture like benches, chairs, blackboards, library books and cup boards to the school, today. "The said items were handed over to school authorities in a formal ceremony held in school premises where students of school present a cultural programme, he added. Meanwhile the students, parents and the teachers appreciated the efforts of the Army and said that such projects have strengthened the bond between the locals and the Indian Army. |
