| NC, Cong, PDP, BJP claim majority in upcoming assembly polls, then who is losing......? | | | Sandeep Bhat
JAMMU, July 17: This is strange to find all the major political parties of the state claiming victory in the coming assembly elections on its own. Then who is going to lose? If we look at their statements, National conference, PDP, Congress and Bhartiya Janta Party have been claiming majority in the upcoming assembly elections in the state. BJP in its press releases gives statement on mission 44 plus in assembly elections and the mood in the party office is surcharged after the landslide victory in recently held lok sabha elections. It is now dreaming of getting 44 plus seats in the state and will put its candidates on all the assembly segments. So BJP is vigorously pursuing the mission of forming next government in the state. PDP is also claiming to get majority on its own to form government. They claim to be winning majority of assembly seats from valley after their candidates won all the Parliamentary seats from there with thumping majority. Thus the enthusiasm in the party is obvious to claim majority under the leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. On the other hand, NC, despite worst ever defeat in the lok sabha elections, claims majority in the coming assembly elections. The releases and statements issued by NC media cell claim to form next government on its own. Devinder Singh Rana, provincial president, has so many times stated that NC will get absolute majority in coming elections and today itself former provincial president Rattan Lal Gupta in a press release claim thumping win for NC candidates. And lastly but not least, Congress party which is at present in coalition with NC is interested in going to elections alone and their senior leader claims to get majority. All political parties are claiming majority, but the million dollar question is then who is going to lose...? If we take as true the statements of above mentioned parties, it seems either independent candidates or smaller parties will loose. It is to be seen that in reality which political party will occupy the throne in Jammu and Kashmir? |
