Construction of the hotel having capacity of more than 60 rooms started earlier in 2010 and now it stands completed evidently exposing nexus between several departments including Pahalgam Development Authority, Revenue and Forest department and corrupt practices of the departments. Former employee of Urban Local bodies, Nissar Ahmad Naik resident of Qazibagh Anantnag known for his involvement in different scams and scandals, is constructing the hotel worth crores in lush green forest zone besides the High court ban over constructions in the area. Locals told Early Times that during the construction employee has fell green tress besides using JCB for leveling the land. They said that PDA or the forest department has never mustered courage to raid the hotel as the employee is being back by Local National Conference leaders.
