Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, July 17: The primly located land spread over 4.5 kanals situated outside the NHPC Colony has apparently became 'bone of contention' between local family residing at Semna Colony Kishtwar and NHPC authorities as both have thrown ownership right upon the said land further threatening law and order situation in the locality.
As per the details available with "Early Times", one Abdul Subhan Baghwan and his family claimed that the land measuring 4.5 kanal under various Khasra numbers situated outside NHPC colony belongs to them. He said that despite having all ownership documents in position, the NHPC officials in a nexus with revenue officials are trying to grab the piece of land forcefully one gun point using the help of CISF personal. On the contrary NHPC authorities denying the allegations and said that the corporation has already paid the compensation to the land owners. "The issue is unnecessarily being given hype as corporation is in position of all relevant documents that prove the claim of the company over the said piece of land, they said adding, " revenue officials after proper demarcation of the land found NHPC authorities claim as genuine."
Meanwhile revenue official team led by Naib Tehsildar Kishtwar Majid Jahingeer also rushed to the spot and tried to pacify both the parties including officials of NHPC led by Chief General Manager Arvind Butt however his attempts ended in vain. Meanwhile a large number of locals gathered on the spot and appending law and order problem the NHPC officials withdrew heavy machines including JCB machines which somehow created a favorable situation.
