| Residents of Keerian ,Gandyal demand bridge | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, July 17: Residents of the Panchayat Keerian and Gandyal raised their voice in support of construction of an alternate railway station in the heart of Kathua town and demanded the construction of multi functional bridge.
While speaking to media the Sarpanch of Panchayat Keerian Karan Singh and Naib Sarpanch Dilawar Singh appreciated Union minister Dr Jitendra Singh who has proposed to the Minister of Road Transport and Highways and Shipping, Nitin Gadkari, construction of already pending project of a 1100 meter double span double-lane bridge over the Ravi river at village Keerian Gandyal in District Kathua. We urged the Jatinder Rana to construct a bridge that could be functioned for both railway track and general vehicular movement so that the need of the railway in the area could be addressed. Nav Kathua Railway Station Nirmaan Samiti (NKRSNS) has launched the movement for the construction of a railway station behind the Ramleela Ground near Boliyan is a genuine and very useful not only for the Kathua town but also entire district through which the Keerian and Gandyal Panchayats would be heavily benefited for which we will intensified the movement under the banner of NKRSNS, they added. |
