| SRTC employees to get 15% DA | | | | Srinagar, July 17 : Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation(JKSRTC) employees will get 15 per cent Dearness Allowance (DA) from this month. This announcement was made at 71st Board of Director Meeting of SRTC held here under the chairmanship of Minister for Transport and CAPD, Ch Mohammad Ramzan. Reviewing the performance of the Corporation, it was informed that the corporation has earned a revenue of Rs 99.84 crore during 2013-14 which was Rs 89.96 crore during the previous financial year thereby registering a growth of 11 per cent. In view of the better performance and encouraging revenue generation, the Board released 15 per cent DA instalment in favour of the employees from this month. The meeting also adopted the constitution of establishment and Finance Committee for regularisation of establishment and finance matters of the Corporation, Constitution of Sub-Committee of Board under the Chairmanship of Economic Advisor, Jammu and Kashmir government to examine release of COLA/6th Pay arrears in favour of SRTC/erstwhile GTU employees and Constitution of Committee to examine proposed revision of delegation of powers. The Board also approved the Budget estimate of the Corporation for the year 2014-15 while the revised estimate for the year 2013-14 were also approved besides adoption of accounts for the year 2010-11 and 2011-12 for further submission of CAG for auditing. Speaking on the occasion, Ramzan asked the authorities of the Corporation to take necessary measures for making the Corporation a profitable organisation besides asking them to ensure safe and efficient bus services to the commuters and visitors. He said the Corporation has important role in the transport sector and asked the officers of the Corporation to streamline the bus and truck services to meet the local demands in the state. |
