J&K fails to open account in Atya Patya Nationals

Jammu, Aug 4: Hosts Jammu and Kashmir failed to win even a single match in the league round that completed today in the ongoing 27th Junior (boys and girls) National Atya Patya Championship, organized by J&K Atya Patya Association at GGM Science College ground, here.
In today's group matches, ill prepared J&K lost to Chattisgarh 07-09, 07-09 and defeated by Karnataka 11-08, 14-10. In another match, J&K trounced by West Bengal 07-12, 05-09. Earlier, on the opening day of the competition yesterday, Delhi outplayed J&K 16-13, 15-10.
Meanwhile, as per the organizers, the three-day competition shall conclude tomorrow with the holding of knock-out round and valedictory function.
