JAMMU, Aug 4 : Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) today exhorted youth and women to actively participate in the movement for change launched by the party to establish a new system of justice and equality in Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing series of public meetings at Suchetgarh and Jammu West Assembly segments, PDP candidates Trilok Singh Bajwa and Daman Bhasin said that state of J&K is passing through a crucial stage because present government headed by Omar Abdullah has failed to connect with the people. While coining the slogan, "Ab Ke Baar Mufti Sarkar" to get the people rid of present corrupt dispensation, PDP leaders said that in the prevailing chaos and anarchy, people of the State are looking towards PDP to get them rid from the present corrupt system. They assured the people that PDP would formulate a comprehensive plan for the development and uplfitment of the backward and border areas. Seeking support of the people in general and youth in particular to throw out the present inept and corrupt system to bring positive change in the life of the commoners, PDP leaders termed National Conference-Congress coalition as worst ever corrupt government in the State. "Rural areas remained neglected for decades together and it was only during the tenure of PDP led regime that various developmental projects were initiated", Bajwa said and reminded the people that during PDP led regime residents of border areas were given special attention in the field of development. Bhasin while addressing a meeting at Sarwal, observed that the credibility of the present regime has reached at its lowest ebb because this dispensation has lost faith of the common masses due to misdeeds and rampant corruption. |
