Samba, Aug 4 : Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti today observed 'Saheedi Diwas' in the memory of Sanjeev Singh and Sanjay Padha of Diani Samba who laid their lives during Amarnath land row in 2008 in a function held Kotli market Samba. Large numbers of people of the area including parents of martyrs were present on the occasion who paid rich tributes to the martyrs. Besides, delegates from all the parties took part to commemorate the Shahidi Diwas. They described that the both the persons had lost their lives, people suffered huge loss in business and compensation has not been given to them. They further alleged that no kin of deceased has been provided government job. "Today 6 years had been past approximately without any kind of help to the victimized therefore we wanted to have justice for them" said convener of the Sangarsh Samiti.
He paid the tributes to both of them and admired the sacrifice of Sanjeev and Sanjay. Those who were present on the occasion included Kashmir Singh , Jagbir Singh , Shiv Lal Manyal, Subhash Bhagat, Narsingh Dass, Ikbal Singh. |
