Jammu, Aug 4: Continuing its efforts to weed out narcotics and prescription (intoxicants) drug smuggling, the Police claimed to have arrested a drug peddler alongwith 45 intoxicant capsules during a naka at locality falling under jurisdiction of Assar Police Station in Doda district here today. "During a routine naka checking intercepted one Vehicle (Van) bearing regd no. JK06-6351 on its way from Jammu to Doda driven by one Sadaqat Ali of Kotli Bhaderwah, police spokesperson said adding, "The police recovered 45 Nos of intoxicant capsules (trade name Proxyvone Plus) from his possession." Acting swiftly police team seized the vehicle and arrested the accused on spot.
A case in this regard against FIR No. 23/2014 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Assar, police said further added that investigation is in progress. |
