| JK Grameen Bank organizes literary camp | | | Early Times Report
LEH, Aug 11: J&K Grameen Bank under the chairmanship of Vagish Chander Sharma in collaboration with NABARD organized awareness cum financial literacy camp at Shenam community Hall (District-Leh). According to press release, Anil Matto, Lead Bank Officer (LBO), who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, inaugurated the awareness camp on financial inclusion in an impressive function. While speaking on the occasion appreciated the efforts of J&K Grameen bank in organizing awareness Camps in District Leh and Kargil and also called upon other banks to hold such awareness camps. He also advised the gathering to approach the bank and take maximum advantage of various bank loan Schemes of J&K Grameen Bank. Vinay Sawhney, Zonal head (District Leh) J&K Bank, highlighted the policies and programmes of the bank for facilitating Financial Inclusion Programme. He urged upon the gathering to open accounts with bank and avail various loan facilities like KCC/GCC/KVIB & other loan schemes available with the bank. Earlier V K Sharma, Senior Manager, Micro Finance & Financial Inclusion (JKGB H.O Narwal, Jammu) appraised the large gathering of people in detail about the concept of financial inclusion put forward by GOI. He also highlighted the importance of NABARD's programmes of Farmers Club & Formation, Promotion & Linkage of Self Help Groups (SHGs). Representatives from Line Departments like Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Panches & Sarpanches also spoke on the occasion and welcomed the initiatives of the bank for imparting financial literacy cum awareness among the rural people. Stanzin Khenrav, Branch Head BO Leh (District Leh), presented the vote of thanks. |
