| PK seeks homeland in Kashmir | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 11: Panun Kashmir has said that in the radicalized Kashmir the return was only possible if homeland was carved out in Kashmir. According to press release, Panun Kashmir organized the meeting today to take stock of the emerging socio-political scenario and was attended by large number of KPs. Addressing the activists chairman Dr. Ajay Chrungoo said, "The way events are unfolding and it proves that the majoritarian society of Kashmir is in the grip of the forces who are in the forefront of jihad at the international level. It is a sign of complete Islamisation and shrinking of space for the minorities of the state. It is the continuation of the genocidal war unleashed by these the fascist and communal forces in 1989-90 to disempower the already uprooted Kashmiri Pandits by indulging in Muslim communalism under the garb of ecology. "They don't want the institutionalization of the cultural and religious moorings of the Kashmiri Pandits. It has exposed their communalism under the guise of pseudo secularism. Thus vindicating the Margdarshan Resolution of 1991 that envisages the Homeland with Union Territory status for the Kashmiri pandits in Kashmir will full constitutional guarantees", he said. Speaking on the occasion Vice chairman Daya Krishen Kaul said, "The community in general and the Panun Kashmir activists in particular should understand the gravity and sensitivity of the situation. The way situation is unfolding; it reveals the time has come to channelize all the resources of the community for achieving our cherished goal of Homeland. The growing communalization and radicalization of the Kashmiri Muslim society has converged the Kashmiri Pandit opinion towards the creation of homeland with free flow of Indian constitution and to reverse the holocaust and genocide once for all." |
