Akhnoor, Aug 11: The students of Government Higher Secondary School, Pargwal today after boycotting their classes held a protest march against the shortage of staff at school.
Accompanied by Panchayat members and locals, hundreds of students of Government Higher Secondary School, Pargwal today came to the road and took out a protest rally in main bazaar of Pargwal area to register their resentment and to get attention of the concerned authorities towards the issue.
Sarpanch Bhupinder Singh Manhas, Panch Vijay Kumar Sharma, Congress leader Rattan Lal Sharma and Daljit Singh, while addressing protesters alleged that due to the shortage of staff in the school, the students are facing innumerable problems to get their queries solved pertaining to their subjects and in getting their syllabi completed.
"We had taken these issues with concerned authorities several times but nothing has been done till date," speakers alleged.
"If our demands are not addressed in next five days, then the students will launch massive protest against the district administration and Education Authorities and for any untoward incident, the administration will be responsible," cautioned one of protesters. |
