| AIBCU asks BJP to fulfill its poll promise | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 11: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) has said that it would be the crucial test for Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) to fulfill their promise made in parliamentary polls of giving 27 percent reservation to OBC's. According to press release, the AIBCU members expressed that before and after just concluded Lok Sabha elections, Narender Modi and his team including Dr. Jitendra Singh, Jugal Kishore Sharma had vigorously raised the issue of due share of 27% reservation for State OBCs and criticized the state government for the denial of reservation together with good governance in the state as well as in the whole country. "It was discussed here in the union's meet under the chairmanship of its president Abdul Majid Malik. People of the state, particularly the state OBCs openly supported Modi and his team for a change in the State as well as in the country and he won the elections with thumping majority", they said. They further said that now a crucial test of state BJP was ahead and the state OBCs expect that state unit of BJP under the presidentship of MP, Jugal Kishore Sharma should raise this issue of 27% reservation in the forthcoming assembly session starting from 25th of August 2014. Speakers expressed their concern towards the promise made by BJP statements made in public mammoth gatherings have to be converted into concrete achievements now by raising this issue of reservation in the Assembly where the statements are tested for their validity, otherwise statements may be of very great importance and if only made in streets and not in the proper house. |
