| Congress playing dirty politics out of frustration: Rajesh Sharma | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 11 : Jammu and Kashmir National panthers Party block secretary Majalta Kewal Sharma and Sarpanch Bharnara Rajesh Sharma have strongly refuted the allegations leveled by R S Pathania against Panthers Party MLA from Ramnagar and termed his outbursts as mischievous manifestations of a frustrated mind. The two leaders said that it was R S Pathania who was the real culprit who had attacked them alongwith two others in Paldai area of Majalta after hitting their vehicle from behind. They said that Pathania had for the last few years been pressurizing them to join the congress Party whose offer had been declined by them. Subsequently, they said, Pathania resorted to their perpetual harassment, creating disputes and medaling in their business affairs and making personal attacks on their family members. They said that despite gravest provocation and offensive launched by Pathania they didn't retaliate. They said that it was 1st August that Pathania chased and intercepted their vehicle and attacked them for which FIR against him had been duly lodged in Police Station Majalta. Rajesh Sharma said that after the attack on him, he was referred to Medical College Jammu on 1st August itself and the same night Pathania along with 10-15 goons attacked him again in GMC Jammu. And had it been that some attendants of patients not intervened, consequences could have been disastrous Rajesh Sharma said that though the FIR had been lodged in Majalta Police Station and Jammu Medical college but the culprit was allowed to go scot free due to political interference. While outrightly dismissing the allegation of R S Pathania against MLA Ramnagar Harsh Dev Singh, Rajesh Sharma said that an attempt was being made to give political colour to a dispute between two rival groups of individuals. He lambasted Pathania for resorting to cheap tactics and politics of blackmail only to hoodwink the general masses on the eve of elections. He said that R S Pathania and his father B S Pathania had contested three consecutive elections against Panthers Party and lost all of them badly forfeiting even their security deposit. He said that out of sheer frustration and unable to compete by playing healthy politics, he was resorting to dirty politicking. He said that people were wise enough to see through the game plan of Pathania who was occupying a hospital bed for the last ten days for a minor nose injury only for cheap publicity. He said that even the minor injury too had been inflicted by Pathania on his nose with ulterior motives. He called for constitution of medical board to assess the injuries of both the parties in the clash and registration of FIR on the basis of factual report. He alleged a conspiracy by congress in the whole gamut for deriving political mileage. Rajesh Sharma further demanded an enquiry into hooliganism and vandalism created by Pathania with the help of 10-15 hired goons of Jammu who stormed Majalta on 5th of August and created terror in the area by brandishing iron rods, sticks and weapons. He regretted that the police had failed to act despite repeated protests by people of Majalta including hundreds of women. He said that the Sarpanches of Majalta had already represented to concerned authorities for high level probe into all criminal acts of Pathania and his antecedents. |
