| Abrol asks party workers to gear up for Assembly elections | | | Earl Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 11: Underlining the importance of youths in politics, Senior Congress leader and Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee, HiraLalAbrol today stressed on the youth of the State to join the political process and play its part in nation building.
He said UPA government is committed for the progress and development of the Jammu and Kashmir State for which several schemes like MGNREGA, NRHM, IAY and RMSA etc have been launched. Abrol was speaking in a workers meet in Jammu East Constituency wherein a large number of new entrants joined Congress Party.
Welcomed all the people who had joined Congress party, HiraLalAbrol said that the joining has strengthened the party and that they will jointly work for the development of the area. Abrol appreciated the interest being shown by the youth of Jammu East constituency in strengthening the Congress and accepting the policies of Congress party for nation building.
He said that during the two tenures that Congress was in power in Centre, a large number of schemes and programmes have been launched by the government for the benefit of the common people. It was only because of these policies that there was an overall improvement in the living standards of the people.
He asked them to gear up for the Assembly elections which are round the corners. He asked the youth to spread the programmes and policies of the party at the grass root level. |
