| Youth drowns in river Tawi, searches on | | | | Jammu, Sept 8: A rescue cum search operation was launched by Police after a youth reportedly got drowned in river Tawi in Belicharana area here today. As per reports, the incident took place when a group of four persons was fishing in river Tawi and they got marooned in water rise in River Tawi. However three persons were rescued, but the fourth one still is missing, police sources said. Later, the service of the SDRF was also pressed to rescue the youth trapped in the flash floods. A police officer sharing information said that despite of knowing the worst situation facing by the state due to heavy rains, the youth went to the river Tawi at their own for fishing. He added that rescue operation is on till late hours and last report came in. |
