Jammu, Sept 8: A social and political activist from Kalakote, Er Abdul Gani Kohli has alleged that administration has totally failed to provide relief to rainfall affected areas of Rajouri district. Lambasting the state government, he alleged that government has totally neglected the border district which has suffered immense damages due to massive rains which lashed the state since September 3. In a statement, Kohli has said that in different areas of Kalakote such as Badhal, Khas, KotChadwal, LalaBambal, Lachani, Darang, HariChamna people are awaiting relief and rescue but administration is not doing enough. The state witnessed the most devastating flood and it caused loss to almost every region of the state and the leaders visited every area and provided help in terms of essential services. "But the case is not same with the region of PirPanjal region which comprise of Rajouri and Poonch district, he added. Lambasting the government of showing step motherly attitude towards the region, Kohli said that every minister visited the affected areas but no one visited this region. "Heavy loss has been witnessed in Poonch, Surankote, Mendhar, Balakote, Mankote, Nowshera, Rajouri, Thanamandi, Drahal and Kalakote, Kohli said and demanded that government should provide the victims an immediate help to those who lost their houses. |
