| Provide relief to flood affected people of Kandi, border areas: Manjit Singh | | | Vijaypur, Sept 8: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Manjit Singh today appealed administration to speedup restoration of roads, link roads leading to the kandi villages as they have been disconnected.The former Minister toured flood affected villages Barjani, Badi, Matkani, Mohalla Bazaar, Rajinder Pura, Badian, vijaypur village and others and held interaction with the affected families.He said that they people were ruing inability of the administration to provide relief to the flood affected families. "The atmosphere has improved from two days but the administration has taken no step for the restoration of road links and electricity," Singh said, while alleging that there was no power in the kandi and border area, yet the administration has turned deaf ears towards the suffering of the people. "They should provide all possible help to the people in Kandi and border without considering their political affiliation," he appealed. The senior Congress leader expressed concern over the condition of the flood affected people and their cattle, while saying that they should be provided proper food and fodder for cattle. "Instead of looking into their demands, the police cane changed them," he alleged adding that the administration should change its mind and provide needed relief to the flood affected people.He warned that if such incidents were repeated again, they would be forced to come on the roads. |
