Jammu Sept 24: Police today booked two persons including the Personal Security Officer (PSO) and the driver of the contesting candidate of Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party's (JKNPP) Vicky Khalsa for their alleged involvement in assaulting on a woman here today in Greater Kailash locality in Jammu.
Police sources said, "The accused identified namely as cop Paramjeet (PSO) and Joginder the driver were booked under section 323,341 RPC."
"They duo was booked following a complaint lodged by woman namely Radha Devi w/o of Sunny of Greater Kailash alleging that two persons misbehaved and even thrashed her at their rented accommodation.
"The woman later got admitted in Gandhi Nagar hospital for treatment, sources said. Quoting victim, the police sources said, "As per her allegations, both the accused came to her rented accommodation when her husband was not present. Pertinently, the victim woman was living in the plot, claimed by the JKNPP's candidate at Greater Kailash."
"The incident took place when the earlier Chowkidar of the plot namely Kumar came to her house to take some things, which he had claimed. The woman objected as her husband was not present at home. Kumar, later, took the PSO and driver of the JKNPP candidate to woman where they allegedly beat her, sources said.
Meanwhile, Anita Thakur JKNPP General Secretary termed the incident as conspiracy against the Panthers Party. |
