Jammu, Sept 24: After exhausting all its options to motivate the state governmentt employees to join their duties the government on Wednesday directed the drawing and disbursing officers not to draw salaries of employees who are yet to report back on their duty. According to official sources, "large number of employees are yet to report to duty in the aftermath of devastating floods in J&K". The state government is facing acute criticism over the absence of government machinery is making every possible effort to make its presence felt on the ground zero. It is in this regard the state government on wednesday circulated a formal order directing the employees to report till September 25 failing which they will be treated as absent and their salaries will not be released. According to the order, the employees of the State Government, who have not resumed duties till date are directed to report back at their respective place of posting, immediately; failing which they shall be treated as absent from duty and necessary action as warranted under rules shall be taken against such employees.According to General Administration Department, Civil Secretariat, Srinagar, the drawing and disbursing officers shall not draw salaries for the month of September, 2014, in favour of such employees who fail to report for duties, by or before theSeptember, 25, 2014. The Administrative Secretaries are requested to furnish the details of delinquent employees to General Administration Department by Monday, 29th, September, positively. |
