| GZSM- GDC Reasi celebrates NSS Day | | |  Early Times Report
Reasi, Sept 24: The NSS unit of Govt General Zorawar Singh Memorial (GZSM) Govt Degree College Reasi celebrated NSS Day in the multipurpose hall of the college in whicvh faculty members and students particiopated with great enthusiasm. The programme started with the enlightment of the traditional lamp followed by Saraswati Bandana. On the occasion Principal of the College Prof Kaushal Samotra who attended the celebratiions as chief guest congratulated the NSS volunteers and motivated them to work together to help the needy and to maintain environment neat and clean. She also suggested them that NSS is the one of the source from which they can spread the message of Brother-hood , National Integration, Social Services to work together during natural Calamities. She also wish them all the best for the future activities in NSS for the overall development of the society in particular and the nation in general.
During the programme NSS Volunteers Tarsem Lal, Shivnandan , Rinki, Vidutma , Ritu presented nss song, patriotic songs and their views on role of NSS for the development of nation. The gathering also observed two minutes to pray for departed soul of flood victims in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. While speaking on the occasion Prof Prem Singh who presided over the function appreciated the presentation made by the volunteers and encouraged them to work hard in future too.
Prof Rajesh Sharma (NSS/Programme Officer) also spoke on the occasion and gave a detailed note on various activities which were carried out by the NSS unit of the college .
In the end, Arun Sharma (Dept Of Zoology) presented a vote of thanks to the gathering. |
