| Burglaras gang busted, five held within 48 hours | | | | Udhampur, Sept 24: Police claimed to have busted a burglary gang in Udhampur with the arrest of five persons in connection with the series of burglary incident from Sept 19-20 and police acting propmptly made arrests within 48 hours of the commission of the crime.The accused have been identified namely as Deep Singh alias Deepu Bant Chenani, Rakesh Kumar alias Mohan Lal of Meer Pancheri, Sushil Kumar alias Sunil of Mongari Pancheri, Vicky of Garrian Talab Udhampur and Sanju Ramnagar A/P Jail Road Udhampur. According to police spokesperson, the accused were arrested by a police team from Police Station Udhampur following complainants in connection with the series of burglaries which occurred on Sept 19-20. "The arrests were made within 48 hours of the commission of the crime, police spokesperson said and added that four cases stands registered in the Police Station Udhampur under FIR No. 351/2014 U/S 457/380 RPC, 352/2014 U/S 457/380 RPC, 353/2014 U/S 379 RPC and 354/2014 U/S 457/380 RPC in which one Cow, 03 Motor Cycles, readymade garments, bulk Cigarettes packets, Mobile and Cash Rs. 17,547/- were stolen. Police spokesperson said, "Soon after the complainants of thefts, SSP Udhampur immediately constituted a special anti burglary teams, which acted in synergy and the catch was made by SHO Police Station Udhampur Inspector Mahesh Sharma under the active supervision of DySP Hqrs Udhampur Gourav Mahajan under the overall supervision of SSP Udhampur Mohd Suleman Choudhary. "On the disclosures of the accused the investigating team have recovered all stolen goods including and cash within 48 hours of the commission of crime, police said. |
