| Abductor held, girl recovered from Himachal | | | Jammu, Sept 24: Pacca Danga police today arrested kidnapper and recovered the abducted girl from Himachal Pradesh, police sources said.
As per reports, the girl namely Sonia (name changed), studying class 12th of New Plot went missing since September 1, after having gone to school.
When the girl failed to reach at her home, the family members started a search and also lodged miising complaint with the Pacca Danga Police Station.
"During investigation, police came to know that the girl was kidnapped by one Rahul Gupta of Jain Bazar, police sources said and added, "taking cognizance in this regard a police team led by SP North Yougal Manhas, was constituted by SSP Jammu Uttam Chand". Taking leads from some reliable sources, the police team conducted raids in Mandi of Himachal Pradesh with the assistance of Himachal Police and arrested the kidnapper from his hideout.
Police also rescued the kidnapped girl from his clutches who was handed over to her parents after medical checkup and other legal formalities. |
