JAMMU, Sept 26: Government MAM College clinched the overall trophy in wrestling after the team secured highest 20 points earned out of the competition held for seven different weight categories in the inter-college competitions of University of Jammu on the campus, here today.
The second place went to the combined side of Post Graduate (PG) Departments after the team earned 16 points in this two-day competition.
The championship trophy was awarded by founder Director of Department of Sports and Physical Education, JU, BK Magotra, who was the chief guest, He was accompanied by Director Sports, Prof. Dhian Singh Bhau, HS Chib, Narayani Jamwal, Dr Mandeep Singh, Prof Ram Singh Sambyal, Dev Raj, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Ravish Vaid, PD Singh and Jai Bharat.
Earlier, the competition officiated by the technical penal comprising Jai Bharat, Mulkh Raj Sharma, Bansi Lal Tidyal, Sahil Sharma, Dheeraj Sharma, Gurdeep Singh, Dr Kamal Sharma and Kulbir Singh.
