`Transfer Industry' flourishes in Higher Education Department
60% Political Science, history lecturers overstaying in colleges

JAMMU, Sept 26: In violation of transfer policy of the state Government, nearly 60 percent college lecturers of Political Science and History have been overstaying in various colleges, majority of them are beneficiaries of notorious `transfer industry' while remaining are victims.
Documents in possession of Early Times revealed that 14 out of 22 college lecturers of Political Science have been overstaying while eight out of 14 lecturers of History are also in the same category.
Bharat Bushan Anand posted at WC Parade, Anita Jamwal posted at GDC Paloura, Nirlape Kour posted at MAM College have been overstaying for the last 11 years in Jammu city colleges. The influence of Bharat Bushan could be gauged from the fact that for the last 11 years he has been shuttling within municipal limits of Jammu city and violating the transfer policy with the help of higher officials.
From 6/2003 to 6/2008 Bharat Bushan Anand remained in MAM (evening) College while from 6/2008 to 3/2013 he was at GDC Paloura and last year he again managed posted at WC Parade in 3/2013. Anita Jamwal also remained at WC Gandhi Nagar from 7/2003 to 3/2013 and again secured posting at GDC Paloura in 2013 while Nirlape Kour remained in WC Gandhi Nagar from 1/2000 to 7/2011 and then posted at GDC Akhnoor but remained there only for more than one year and retained posting at MAM College in April 2013.
Sushma Mahajan posted at WC Parade and Neena Kumar posted at GDC Parade have been overstaying for the last nine years in Jammu city. While Sushma Kumari is in the same college but Neena Kumari remained posted at MAM College from 8/2005 to 4/2013 and for two months she remained posted at GDC Akhnoor but once again returned to GDC Parade in 6/2013.
Kiran Jeet Kour has been overstaying in WC Kathua since her appointment in year 2007, while Mushtaq Ahmad Sohil at GDC Banihal for the last six years (since 4/2008). Harpreet Kour posted at MAM College Jammu, Prem Singh posted at GDC Reasi, Amit Kumar Sharma posted at GDC Billawar, Mukesh Kumar Sharma posted at GDC Nowshera, Swarna Devi posted at WC Udhampur and Shortika Rajput posted at WC Gandhi Nagar have been overstaying for the last four years. Shortika Rajput remained at WC Parade from 2/2010 to 8/2012 and for seven months she remained at GDC Khour but returned back to WC Gandhi Nagar in 3/2013.
In the list of History lecturers, Nazakat Hussain posted at GDC Rajouri has been overstaying for the last nine years while Puja Parihar posted at WC Parade, has been overstaying for the last five years, while Tanveer Hussain posted at GDC Khilotran and Samta Sharma posted at MAM College have been overstaying in violation of transfer policy. Samta Sharma remained posted at COE Jammu from 2007 to 2011, followed by her transfer to GDC Kathua but even before two years, she returned back to MAM College in 6/2013. Neelu Gupta posted at MAM College, Sindoo Kapoor posted at COE Jammu, Anuradha posted at GDC Paloura have also completed three years at their respective posts but are not transferred yet.
