JAMMU, Sept 26: On the tenth day of "Display Your Talent" 2014-15, a SKIT Competition was organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium.
"Dekh Tamasha T.V Ka", a SKIT in Hindi staged by the team from Govt. College for Women, Gandhinagar, Jammu, fetched the first prize whereas "Main Janam Kyoon Loon", a Skit in Hindi/Dogri stage by the team from Trikuta College of Computer Science and Management Studies and "Parachitt" a Skit in Hindi staged by Govt. Women College, Parade, Jammu, adjudged as Second and Third, respectively.
The Best Actor prize was awarded to Mridul Anand from Trikuta College of Computer Science and Management Studies, for his superb piece of acting in Skit "Main Janam Kyoon Loon" and Samita Rana from Govt. College for Women, Gandhinagar, Jammu bagged the Best Actress Award for her acting in Skit "Dekh Tamasha T.V Ka". The Certificates of Merit for individual acting were awarded to Damini Baloria and Megha Gupta, both from Govt. College for Women, Gandhinagar, Jammu and Deepika from Govt. College for Women, Parade.
Janak Khajuria, Sh. Sahib Singh and Bhupinder Singh, were the adjudicators for the SKIT Competition.
Dr. Jaspal Singh, was the teacher incharge for the event and conversant the participants with Rules and Regulations.
The programme was compeered by Anjusha.B.Sharma whereas Avisha Khajuria acted as the time keeper.
Among other, Prof. Parmeshwari Sharma, Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee, Dr. Ab. Rashid Manhas & Dr. Yudhbir Singh, Assistant Deans (SW), Faculty Members, Teacher Incharges from various Affiliated Colleges, members Campus Cultural Committee, Ifra Kak, Cultural Officer, Sumeet Sharma, Drama Instructor, Rahul Sharma, Secretary, Students Cultural Council, members of Students Cultural Council Scholars and students were present.
All the prizes and trophies will be given in the Prize Distribution Ceremony cum Grand Finale to be organized on 1st of October, 2014 in Gen. Zorawar Singh Auditorium at 3.00 p.m. |
