JKCA invites U-16 boys, U-19 girls for nets

JAMMU, Sept 26: Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has invited already short listed under-16 boys and under-19 women cricketers for selection nets at Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy, here from September 28.
While under-19 women cricketers have been asked to report to Roopali Slathia (chief coach), Rajni Sharma (coach) and Satika Sharma (trainer) those under-16 boys shall have to report to camp incharge, Sarveshwar Singh, coach, Sunil Kumar and trainer, Vikrant Taggar at 3 pm, a handout issued here today said.
The camp shall also be attended by the short listed probable from valley.
The Probable:
Under-19 women: Abba Khullar, Noor Jahan, Nadia, Tanisha Sharma, Heena Kouser, Sanjana, Phool Kumari, Chitra, Pushpa, Bhavika, Sonika, Lalita, Gunjan, Deepakshi, Ishani, Amrita, Heena Bhat, Garima, Saniya and Sangeeta.
Under-16 boys: Anirudh Sharma, Varun Dogra, Akshit Sharma, Sahil Lotra, Yogesh Sikka, Ashish Pal Singh, Mehran Gani, Rohit, Sanchit Dass, Haramdeep Singh, Satvik Kohli, Satyam Gupta, Mohammad Areeb, Gagandeep Singh, Vivrant Sharma, Vishav Pratap, Dipesh Badgal, Pavit, Satyabrat Sharma, Vasu D Singh Jamwal, Rahul Choudhary, Akshit Jandial, Jagjit Singh, Arun Taak, Vishav Kumar, Abhay Bamotra, Aditya Chib, Lakshya Vaid, Anuj Singh Jasrotia, Arjun Singh, Chetan Mohan, Mohit Kumar, Aryaman, Sachin Kumar, Shubham Banotra, Vignesh Kumar, Anmol Verma, Ajay Verma, Sudhanshu Gupta, Anmol Bhan, Prince Gupta, Shubham Sharma, Sumit Sayal, Aryan Gupta, Gourav Singh, Jagteshwar Singh, Avichal Rampal, Sartak Behl, Dhruv Sharma and Yogeshwar.

Surankote XI wins by 5 wkts in T20 final

RAJOURI, Sept 26: Surankote XI clinched the final of the inter-tehsil Twenty20 cricket tournament, organised by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo) with the active cooperation from locals at Hill Stadium, Mendhar in district Rajouri.
In the final, Surankote XI trounced Mendhar XI by five wickets. In all, four teams representing tehsil Mendhar, Haveli, Surankot and Mandi took part in this knock-out competition.
The gesture of the Army was applauded by the locals of district Poonch and requested the authorities concerned to continue with similar events for the youth in future.
