CTF delegation calls on CCT, urges to extend date of filing VAT returns

Jammu Sept 26: A delegation of Chamber of Traders Federation (CTF) an amalgam led by its President Yash Paul Gupta today called upon Commissioner, Commercial Taxes , J&K, and submitted a memorandum of demands demanding to extend the date of filing the quarterly returns of VAT by at least for three months. CTF Spokesperson stated that Commissioner, Commercial Taxes , J&K gave a patient hearing to issues and demands raised by the traders delegation especially which were put in the memorandum. He assured that he will try his best to meet the demands and the same will be forwarded to the higher authorities for their consideration at the earliest
Citing that it is not possible to complete the due works for filing returns due to the prevailing post flood situation particularly in Kashmir, Reasi, Poonch, Rajouri and Udhampur, CTF President Yash Paul Gupta, urged that the dates of depositing the VAT Tax should also be extended by the same period.
