JAMMU, Nov 1: One day programme on "Awareness cum group discussion on soil testing" was today organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) SKUAST-J, Bhaderwahat village Kulsari, Bhaderwah district Dodain which scientists from KVK, extension functionaries from the agriculture department and farmers participated.
The programme had lectures, interactive session and practical demonstrations on method of soil testing in the field. The team of scientists comprised of Dr. Narinder Paul, Dr B. Brahma and Dr Amit Charak from KVK Bhaderwah whereas, Ampy Singh AEO Bhalra, Ramesh Kumar JAEO Kusari and ShYasirTak REZ from the department of agriculture also participated in the programme. Farmers from village Kulsariplayed active role in the group discussions on Soil testing, importance of soil testing, need of soil testing, methods of soil testing and practically collected soil samples themselves from their respective fields in the presence of the organizers. |
