13 nomination papers issued by Assistant Returning Officers

Kishtwar, Nov 1: District Election Officer Kishtwar Mohammad Javed Khan today chaired the meeting of all nodal and District officers engaged in polling process.
During the course of the meeting, various issues including issuance of postal ballots to service voters, polling personals, zonal magistrates, sector magistrates, police personals, drivers, cleaners and others were discussed thread bare.
DEO appraise the meeting about timely and speedy disposal of Postal Ballots to Service voters. Coordinator Raiz Ahmed Butt briefs the meeting about training of ROs, AROs and nodal officers for Postal Ballot.
He also informed the meeting that First Level Checking of EVMs was also completed by the BEL engineers, while the randomization of EVMs will be completed will in time. SP Kishtwar Youghal Manhas informed the meeting about the various security measures taken by the police for ensuring free and fair polls. The issue of airlifting of security forces and polling staff to far flung areas of the District was also discussed.
Postal Department Officials was asked to establish a special counter for speedy disposal of Postal Ballots. DCO Kishtwar issued strict directions to all the employees and warns them against taking part in any political activities and rallies.
ROs Mohammad Hanief Malik, Sudarshan Kumar Salaria, AROs Phulail Singh, Ghulam Nabi, ADDC Kishtwar Avtar Singh Chib, ALC Kishtwar Zakir Wani, ASP Kishtwar Abdul Qayoom, Dy. SP HQ Nazir Ahmed Ganie, NT Election Hashim Din, Bank Officials, Media persons, Principal GDC Kishtwar, ARTO Kishtwar Azhar Zarger and several other officers attended the meeting.
Meanwhile AROs of 51-Kishtwar and 52 Inderwal issued 8 and 13 nomination papers respectively.
As per the details available with "Early times" 13 nomination papers for 52-Inderwal constituency was issued on the name of Ghulam Mohammad Saroori (Congress) through Mushtaq Ahmed Hap, Tariq Hussain Keen (BJP) through his brother Ajaiz Ahmed Keen, Imtiyaz Ahmed (JKNPP), Abdul Majid (Independent), Shanawaz Ahmed (Jammu and Kashmir's Peoples Party), Masood Ahmed (Independent), Abdul Majid Butt (PDP), L C Sharma (Independent), Sandeep Kumar (Independent), Jabar Singh Parihar (Independent), Ayaz Ahmed Zarger (Independent), Chowdhary Salam Din (NC) and Farooq Ahmed Keen ((Independent). While 8 nomination papers for 51-Kishtwar constituency was issued against the names of Sunil Sharma (BJP) through Lalit Sharma, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo (NC) through Shabir Ahmed Kamal, Firdous Ahmed Tak (PDP) through Sheikh Nasir Hussain, Nek Ram Manhas (Congress), Des Raj Baghat (BSP), Farooq Ahmed Ahanger (Jammu and Kashmir's Peoples Party), Khalid Haider Mir (Awami Itehad Front) and Mohammad Amin Butt (Janta Dal Secular). The date of issuance of nomination paper is till 5th of November 2014 till 3.PM. Kishtwar District is schedule to go for polls in first phase on 25th of November 2014 along with 14 other Assembly segments spread over seven Districts of the state.
