J&K Govt extends tax exemption on relief material 11/2/2014 12:26:05 AM Early Times Report Srinagar, Nov 1: Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday granted 10 days extension on the exemption of levy of entry and toll taxes on import of material for relief and rehabilitation of the flood-affected people of the state. The exemption of entry tax and toll tax has been extended to October 10, an official spokesman said. He said the decision to this effect was taken at a high level meeting convened here to review the pace of progress of banking institutions and insurance companies working in the state to deal with the cases of flood hit people. Earlier, the government had granted exemption on entry tax and toll tax on import of relief material up to September 30. The extension of ten days has been granted to expedite the import of relief material to enable the NGOs and institutions and donors to send relief without any difficulty, the spokesman added.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
