| Powergrid organises Intra- Regional cultural meet | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 1: Emerging artists from different parts of Jammu & Kashmir, H.P, Punjab & Haryana states, in colorful dresses and colourful presentation marked the annual Intra-Regional cultural festival organized by Power Grid Corporation of India, Northern Region -II. The cultural festival & traditional Handicrafts Exhibition was held at Inderdanush Auditorium in Panchkula on the evening of 31st October 2014.
SK Sharma, Executive Director, Northern Region Transmission System- II was the Chief Guest on this occasion whereas Meena Sharma, Patron Srishti Mahila Samiti NRTS-II was the Guest of Honour. Sharma inaugurated the Cultural Meet by lighting the traditional lamp whereas Meena Sharma had earlier inaugurated the Handicrafts Exhibition in presence of large number of guests, POWERGRID employees & families. RK Chouhan Executive Director Kurukshetra was also present on this occasion.
The cultural festival encompassing talent from four Northern States swayed the audience to the beats of colorful folk dances and songs highlighting rich composite culture of the Region. It was a major event for the employees and their family members as amateur talent of the Region gathered to highlight their cultural traditions. |
