| Air Force School conducts Investiture ceremony | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 1: Investiture ceremony was conducted in the Air force school to form the student council led by the Head boy and the Head girl.
Flt lt Sunaina Chahar ,Executive Director, Air Force School was the chief guest on the occasion.
Investiture ceremony is one of the momentous occasions of the school where the newly selected members of the school senate are officially vested with their power and positions.
The programme began with the welcome speech by Mr Vikesh Sandhal, Principal Air Force School. He stressed that student council introduces the students to the democratic setup. Students of today are the visionaries of tomorrow. When we develop personality, skill and mind we develop responsible human beings with leadership qualities.
A pleasing ceremony was held in the school campus where the council was given sashes and badges by the Chief Guest. The council took the pledge of commitment and dedication towards duty. This was followed by the singing of the Air Force School Song which has been composed by the music maestro A. R. Rehman.
In her address the Chief Guest stressed that student council not only leads the school but also contributes to the betterment of the school in every possible way. It is expected to uphold the values of the school. This privilege comes with duty and responsibility. She wished the very best to each council member and advised them to lead by example.
Dhivam Heer and Aakriti Sharma of class 12th are the head boy and head girl for the session 2014-15 respectively. Varun Jaideep and Pooja Choudhary are the sport captains. Savi Gandral and Shikhar Bal are the Deputy heads of the school.
