Udhampur, Nov 1: At least 343 fresh Border Security Force (BSF) recruits were passed out the after completing 34 weeks of rigorous training today. The recruits participated in a colourful Passing out -cum-attestation parade at the Subsidiary Training Centre here today. Rakesh Kumar Sharma Inspector General of BSF, Jammu Frontier, took the salute at an impressive parade. Newly passed out recruits have successfully completed 34 weeks of rigorous basic training, in which they were put through various dimensions and aspects of training involving physical fitness and mental robustness, effective use of arms, map reading and maintaining utmost discipline. Besides this, training was imparted in field engineering, field craft, minor tactics, anti-terrorism, counter-insurgency, commando operations and respect for human rights, a BSF spokesman said. Addressing the newly inducted men in the BSF, IGP BSF Sharma congratulated them for the excellent parade and wished them good luck for the future. IGP lauded the role of BSF for giving befitting reply to Pakistan when Pak violates ceasefire on LOC in Jammu and Kashmir. |
