| Slathia's Safari stolen, recovered | | Two PSO's suspended for no fault of theirs | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 1: Samba Police today recovered MLA's vehicle within an hour of its theft from Trikuta Nagar area, however two cops who are otherwise supposed to protect the MLA have been placed under suspension for not "protecting" his vehicle as well.
Suspended cops have been identified as Kairnal Singh Head Constable and Constable Darshan Lal.
As per reports, acting swiftly on the information received from Police Control Room (PCR) Jammu, Samba Police headed by SI Ajay Singh, SHO Vijaypur police station under the supervision of Anil Magotra, SSP Samba and SS Sambyal, SDPO Vijaypur, raised a naka at Rahya Morh Vijaypur and seized the vehicle and areested the lifter namely Imamuddin of Ratanpura Kalan Bilari Moradabad Uttar Pradesh who stole TATA Safari bearing registration number JK02AL-0234.
Pertinent to mention here that the said vehicle belongs to Surjit Singh Slathia, MLA Vijaypur and was stolen from outside his residence at Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. On this, Police Control Room Jammu sounded alarm and alerted all the Nakas of Jammu as well as other adjoining Districts.
The accused as well as stolen vehicle has been handed over to Police Trikuta Nagar for further legal action. With the arrest of said accused person, solving of other theft cases cannot be ruled out. |
