Statics Surveillance team seizes Rs 70000 cash

Kishtwar, Nov 1: Keeping their vigil on illegal cash transaction, the Statics cum video Surveillance team today seized Rs 70,000/- cash from Shalimar area of Kishtwar District from a passenger vehicle.
As per the details, the team on the bases of specific input laid a Nakka at Shalimar Kishtwar and seized the cash from the possession of Ajay Kumar resident of Machail Padder.
On receiving information, Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) 51- Kishtwar Assembly Phalail Singh rushed to the spot to verify the details, sources said.
"The cash was later deposited in government treasury after the person who was carry the cash failed to produce relevant documents in support of the cash, sources said.
While confirming the seizure of cash, ARO 51-Kishtwar said that cash has been deposited in the treasury, added that once the accused will produce valid reason and documents, the cash will be released in his favor.
