BJP, NPP ridicule Omar's decision to quit Ganderbal | | | Javaid Naikoo
Early Times Report
Srinagar, Nov 1: The BJP and the NPP have criticized Omar Abdullah's decision of surrendering Ganderbal. According to them, Omar will lose at both the places he has chosen to try his luck from. BJP spokesperson Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that 'people of Jammu and Kashmir have been betrayed by the state government. They didn't fulfil their promises, hence the public is angry and now it doesn't matter whether Omar contests from two seats or 10 seats, people of J&K won't forgive him.' Senior leader of NPP Harsh Dev Singh while ridiculing Omar said he has decided to contest from two different constituencies in the upcoming assembly polls only because he has smelled defeat in his family political bastion of Ganderbal and while predicting a rout for the NC he also criticised Omar's move not to seek re-election from his ancestral constituency of Ganderbal as an act of betrayal. He said that 'it is a betrayal to the people of Ganderbal who have been supporting this family through thick and thin time and again since decades and not only that, but now his plan to contest from two constituencies Sonawar and Beerwah that means he is not sure about himself.' |
