MENDHAR, Jan 13: Mughal Road, that connects Poonch district of Jammu region with the valley, was today closed to vehicular traffic following heavy snowfall at Peer Ki Gali.
A heavy snowfall occurred at Peer Ki Gali and on Bafliaz-Peer Ki Gali road stretch in the morning, official sources said.
The road was blocked at Peer Ki Gali and there occurred slippery conditions from Bafliaz to Peer Ki Gali, the sources added.
All the vehicles, which were on their way to the valley, were stopped at Bafliaz and not allowed to move towards Peer Ki Gali. Weather permitting, the road would be thrown open to traffic in a day or two, sources said. |
