J&K to meet Gujarat in QF of Sub-Jr National Volleyball

JAMMU, Feb 11: J&K boys team shall meet Gujarat in the quarterfinal match of the ongoing 40th Sub-Junior National Volleyball Championship for (boys & girls) at Chirava in Rajasthan.
In last league match played on Sunday, J&K registered fifth win defeating Delhi by 3-2 (20-25, 25-16, 23-25, 25-21, 15-8).
Once again J&K team players namely Shaid, Shabir, Hemanshu and Imtaiz played extra ordinary game and dominated the proceedings to achieve victory.
Earlier after winning first four matches, J&K lost to Rajasthan by 1-3 (17-25, 25-20, 23-25, 18-25) in fifth match played on Saturday evening.
It is pertinent to mention here that Jammu and Kashmir boys team defeated Chhattisgarh by 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-20), edged Jharkhand 3-1 (25-18, 25-12, 25-21), blanked Telangana by 3-1 (25-22, 25-16, 18-25, 25-19) and outplayed Haryana by 3-1 (25-12, 24-26, 26-24, 25-23) in first four league matches.
Elated over the performance of J&K boys team in the league matches, Mohd Tariq, Coach of the team, said that the morale of the team is very high and we are hopeful that boys would give their best in the quarterfinal match against Gujarat.
Patron-in-Chief Volleyball Association of J&K, Raj Daluja, President, Sidharth Daluja and other office bearers sent congratulations to boys team for reaching at knock out stage and good wishes to team, manager and coach for future games.
