Early Times Report
katra, Feb 11: Tourism Department's cafeteria at Domail along Katra-Shiv Khori road has become a blackhole, as after 4 years the complex has not been completed.
The annual pilgrimage at Holi cave, Shiv Khori will begin from Monday, on the occasion of Maha Shivratari, but the huge investment made Tourism Department is far away to serve its purpose. "Four years back, the Tourism Department started construction work of Cafeteria at Domail a stretch between Pouni-Ransoo", the local said and add that the complex after lapse of four years has not be completed yet.
The purpose of cafeteria is to serve the pilgrim of Lord Shiva, who visit Holy Town Shiv Khori, also know as Ransoo. "It is very unfortunate that despite huge funding the project has not been completed yet", said locals.
They further said thatches for department's officials the construction of the cafeteria is an additional sources of income. "The officials have hands in glove with contractors, who rather than completing the works, lingering on it", said a local who has been associated with work since beginning.
They said it is very unfortunate that huge number of pilgrims visit holy cave on daily bases, but the occasion of Mahashivratri the number of visitors go in lacs. "It is very shameful on the part of administration, as we read in news papers that the district administration hold meeting ahead of Mahashivratri, but is very surprising that never the question of complete Cafeteria is raised in the meeting", locals said.
They urged up Chief Minister as well as Tourism Minister to take appropriate action against the officials answerable for delay in completion of work of the cafeteria
