After himself encouraging factionalism Azad now wants to end groupism in Cong | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 11: After himself encouraging groupism and factionalism in the party, senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad today realized that his party would not return to power in J&K without ending this factionalism. Addressing one day convention of the party at Gandhi Nagar today, Azad, who is known for creating groups in the Pradesh Congress, said that groupism is the biggest threat to the party. He admitted that Congress in J&K is divided into various groups and it is need of the hour to end this factionalism to defeat BJP in the coming elections. Azad admitted that without ending groupism it is not possible to defeat BJP because due to factionalism party leaders worked against each other in the elections. Ironically it is Azad himself who always patronage his own lobby in the Pradesh Congress to maintain his dominance. During the tenure of Saif-ud-Din Soz as PCC president, Azad did not allow Congress to become a united force. Meanwhile Azad also gave warning to the party drawing room politicians of the Congress party who always come alone in the party function. |
