Country mourns soldiers' martyrdom, BJP workers celebrate best legislator award | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 13: At a time when entire country is swept by a wave of mourning due to martyrdom of soldiers in various militant attacks, the 'shameless' Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) workers were found celebrating enthusiastically the best legislator award to MLA Kathua. Amid burning firecrackers and drum beats, the BJP workers were found dancing over the tunes of drums while celebrating the award of best legislator, which goes to legislator of Kathua. Sources informed Early Times that today afternoon over 100 BJP workers assembled at Kalibari Chowk to welcome the MLA Kathua, who was awarded the best legislator award in the ongoing assembly session. "The BJP workers were very happy and laughing and it seemed there is everything very good going on in district Kathua and state and good-days have already come. It seems they have no idea of the sacrifice made by soldiers of district Kathua", a local of Kathua said, adding that in the shape of a rally, these over joyous BJP workers then proceeded to the official residence of MLA, amid the beating of drums, firecrackers and raising slogans. How these BJP workers forget the recent Sunjwan attack, wherein our soldiers attained martyrdom and their last rites were being performed? Even today also militants carried out attack on security forces in Kashmir valley but these BJP workers have nothing to do with the attacks on our security forces. Some of these BJP workers are not less than typical sycophants who never shared pain of the martyrdom of soldiers but whenever it comes to politicking over the issue or to corner the opposition, they use the name of our soldiers and army. "It is the same BJP, which had claimed to teach Pakistan a tough lesson and was raising hue and cry over the soft approach of government towards the stone pelters but being a coalition partner, its legislators remained mum, which indicates their complicity in the release of stone-pelters", another local of Kathua said, adding that such celebrations could have been avoided to show sympathy with the families of martyrs but they preferred celebrations over a routine award. |
