NSUI flays 'new pattern' of JU entrance test | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 21: National Students' Union of India (NSUI) today opposed the new selection criteria through JUET in University of Jammu (JU). Addressing a press conference here today, State general secretary, NSUI, Avijot Singh, informed that the new selection criteria is totally "anti-students" in which selection through JUET will be based on 75 percent on merit and 25 percent through entrance. Earlier, it was 60 percent on merit and 40 percent through entrance. "Through this decision, hard working students having lower merit are disappointed and are against such policy framed by university authorities". District president NSUI Jammu said that Jammu University management has proposed a new pattern of entrance examination for PG courses in which analytical aptitude and reasoning questions have also been included. NSUI senior leader Vikas Badhoria Asserting that NSUI will not tolerate injustice with students, he threatened of continuous agitation for this so-called entrance test. if such norms are not revoked immediately. He appealed the students to join the agitation for the genuine cause. |
