Officials seeks Rs 500 for single photocopy

Jammu, Feb 23: For one page, the officials of Jammu and Kashmir Rashtriya Madhymik Shiksha Abhiyan (JK RMSA) seek Rs.500 through RTI.
Wishing anonymity aspirants for the post of Subject Specific Teacher informed Early Times that RMSA had conducted written test in November 2017 for 550 teacher posts of various subjects including English, Mathematics, Hindi, Urdu, Social Studies and Science and their result was declared in February 21of 2018.
The official issued an order under notification no. Edu/SPD/RMSA/Adm/12465-70/2018 dated 21/2/2018 in which they informed all candidates to appear in written examination.
If anyone wants photocopy or recheck their (OMR) answer sheet. He/she must apply within ten days from the date of issuance of result notification with the provision of RTI Act by depositing demand draft of Rs. 500 in the name of J&K RMSA state coordinator.
The photocopy of original OMR (answer) sheet will be provided to the candidate within 30 days from the receipt of the RTI application. No photocopy of answer sheet will be provided to any candidate whose application is not found complete in all respects.
Criticizing RMSA authorities the aspirants further said candidates having lost the OMR answer sheet photocopy have to apply for duplicate and deposit a hefty sum. In educational institutions only Rs 200-300 are chargedand through RTI Act with ten rupees postal order and charges Rs.2 per photocopy but surprisingly RMSA charges Rs.500 of single photocopy page even which actual cost through this act is two rupees.
RMSA State Project Director Tufail Matto accepted and said that the fee should be given to JKBOSE because board had conducted The exam and Rs500 is the cost of OMR answer sheet. It's not done in first time. It was followed by many other government departments.
