Better road network, adequate infra tops Government's development agenda: Ganga

Vijaypur, Mar 1: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga today said that better road network and dependable infrastructure tops the development agenda of the present dispensation.
Addressing a public meet here at Badali village, the Minister said that the focus on upgrading and improvement of the road network, especially in rural and remote areas, is being laid to benefit the people and achieve growth targets.
Member of Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma was also present at the public meeting where a large number of people put forth their issues pertaining to road connectivity, drainage system, and availability of drinking water, reduction in power curtailment availability of ration and many more alike.
Responding to the demands, the Minister said all the issues brought into his notice will be taken up with the concerned authorities for prompt and appropriate action. He also issued on the spot direction to the concerned officers for the redress of genuine demands of the people.
Reiterating the government's commitment, the Minister said that a comprehensive plan has been formulated for up-gradation and expansion of infrastructural facilities to provide better civic amenities to the people. He sought full public co-operation in implementing the development programs on the ground.
Ganga said that roads are the lifeline which will change the socio-economic landscape of the State, adding that government is laying emphasis on improving road connectivity by linking internal roads with National Highways.
In his address, the Member of Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma asserted that the government is making resolute efforts to provide basic facilities to the people with special focus on development of remote areas.
He further said that the centre and the State government have been working on the agenda of equitable development and welfare of the people of all regions.
